The homestay was a lot longer than last time so we were able to do a lot more. Besides going to dinner with the family, which consisted of a grandmother, mother, and son, I was able to just walk around the city after school. It is an amazing city. During the day, interacting with the students was some of the best practice with Japanese I have had. It is great how well people can connect given a few minutes (considering there was a little bit of a language barrier). Saying this, we all made a lot of new friends. Since it was an international school, the students were very eager to meet people from other countries. The homestay was definitely one of the best parts of the trip so far.
