Today unfortunately is the last day of one of the most memorable trips of my life. I have enjoyed coming to Japan so much and have learned infinitely more than I ever could have expected. I have been exposed to the most amazing variety of foods, sounds, smells, and sights many of which I will never forget. This trip has made me phenomenally closer to every single person on this trip. At the begging, I knew two people well and I kind of knew one other person. As this trip comes to a close, I look around and realized that over the past two weeks I have made the most amazing friends and have bonded an incredible amount with those I already knew. This trip has also made me closer not only to other Brookline students, but also to the many great friends in Japan that I will undeniably stay in touch with for a long time to come. From my host sister to some of the girls I met at school, I have made friends that could not be made anywhere else. Over all this trip has exposed me to an entirely new world of culture and has open the door to a giant new world of friendships and relationships that will last for a long time to come.
