So far, Japan is super fun! At first I was really nervous about being in a house for one week with someone I did not know, but my host family made it very comfortable. After only a short while, it felt more like staying at a friend’s house than a stranger’s. We also visited some super cool sites in Japan. So far my favorite is in Nara. We saw a humongous Buddha that weighed about 500 tons! I also became closer to enlightenment by squeezing through a tiny hole in a pole, which was the same size as the Buddha’s nostril. The other parts of the trip are also really fun. So far, this trip to Japan has been an awesome experience.
